For the record, I loathe the holidays. I hope y'all are doing well, and I apologize for being so scarce. Work's been demanding, as of late.

As you can imagine, no, I'm doing nothing for the holidays, save a viewing or two of Nightmare Before Christmas for nostalgia's sake. I know a lot of you are asking me to come visit, and I might, if only to see everyone. You can rest assured you'll at least receive something to make up for it. And no I don't consider that specifically holiday-related. And y'all best not either, if you want anything non-toxic.

Miss you as always, Frabjous.

PS - Ah, but I feel I must point out that, dreadful days of hypocrisy and indulgence aside, I am thrilled that it's winter.

Edit: OH YES, I FORGOT TO SAY. Some news that is truly joyous - The Red Book by Carl Jung is being shipped out today. I'm more than a little excited, as you might imagine.

1:27 in the morning here, and I just woke up from a nightmare. This wasn't unexpected; I arrived in Georgia earlier this evening.

Normally nightmares don't bother me. I love them, actually; they're the only dreams I ever remember, and have given me flashes of wonderful inspiration before. I really do have a love affair with fear, as many of my colleagues have described it to me. But, like every human, there's that one particular batch that leads me violently waking in the dead of night, shaking and on the verge of a scream. Tonight was just one of those nights.

Cheery, love, I've been listening to your music the past few days. You have wonderful taste: Jill Tracy, Poe...and I wasn't aware John Wayne Gacy had a song about him. I shouldn't be surprised, should I?

Oh, and get this. Amazon says The Red Book won't be shipped out until DECEMBER 3RD. ALSJDAJFKLASFKLASJF FFFFFFFFFFFF--! >____< Amazon's not well. Poor sickies. They'll need to see a doctor if they don't hand over that book.

Well, I've killed a half hour, but I doubt I'll go back to sleep tonight. Come, my little snarklings, surely one of you is up tonight...

Oh. My. GOD.

From the front page of Wiki:
The Red Book by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung is published and displayed in public for the first time.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Book_(Jung)

The Liber Novus. Written after Jung's break from Freud, during what many believe was a psychotic episode as he had what he described as "a voluntary confrontation with the unconscious". Written in the span of sixteen years; over 200 pages of illustration and calligraphic text all from his own hand. THIS was the book he worked on while he developed his theories of archetypes, the collective unconscious, and individuation. And until 2001, his greedy little heirs refused to share it with no more than a select handful. But now...now as of yesterday, it is available to the public, completely translated. Jung's most personal and important writings.

I...I am so glad no one is around to see me right now. I'm shaking like a giddy schoolgirl, it's ridiculous. Sweet cryin' Jesus, I need to find a bookstore. NOW.
